Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams believes Ghana’s biggest advantage at the 2026 FIFA World Cup may come from the strong support of fans across North America.
Speaking on JoyNews’ PM Express, the Buem MP said excitement around the Black Stars is growing steadily, both at home and within the diaspora in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The tournament will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
“I think the energy level is quite high. If you observe, even when the chief arrived in the United States at that late point, the number of Ghanaians who were at the airport and at the hotel to welcome them should tell you one thing, that Ghanaians in America are ready for the team,” he said.
He suggested that this widespread support could play a key motivational role as the Black Stars aim to progress in a competitive Group L campaign.
