NPP communicator Awal Mohammed believes former MASLOC Chief Executive Officer Sedina Tamakloe Attionu could still pursue legal remedies despite returning to Ghana to serve her prison sentence.
Speaking during an interview on Joy Prime, Mohammed argued that court processes remain available to individuals who wish to challenge aspects of their cases through the legal system.
“I would not be surprised if Sedinam Tamakloe would also go to court and she would also be granted bail,” he said.
His comments came while discussing the legal developments involving Kelvin Taylor, whom he said was able to appear before a court despite an existing arrest warrant.
Mohammed suggested that court decisions can significantly alter the course of legal proceedings and that individuals facing legal challenges often seek relief through the judiciary.
“The guy went to court and it was overturned,” he said while referring to Taylor’s case.
Sedina Attionu recently returned to Ghana following her extradition from the United States. She is expected to serve a 10-year prison sentence imposed by the Accra High Court after she was convicted in absentia on charges including causing financial loss to the state and stealing.
While Mohammed did not comment on the merits of her conviction, he maintained that legal avenues remain open to persons seeking redress through the courts.
According to him, future developments in the case will ultimately depend on judicial processes rather than political debate.
