Kwasi Kwarteng, a spokesperson for former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, says recent discussions within the New Patriotic Party highlight the need for stronger reconciliation efforts ahead of the 2028 elections.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Kwarteng said internal disagreements should be addressed through established party mechanisms.
“Strong parties are built on proper reconciliation and dispute resolution mechanisms,” he said.
He explained that the situation presents an opportunity for the party to assess its internal processes and strengthen unity.
“We should take this as a moment to reflect and build reconciliation for the party leading to the 2028 elections,” Kwarteng stated.
According to him, his comments were not intended to justify any particular position but to draw attention to areas where the party could improve.
“I’m not justifying anything. I am saying that it exposes the reconciliation chamber of our party and shows that we can still do better,” he said.
