Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has praised Ghana’s second-half performance in the team’s 1-0 FIFA World Cup victory over Panama, saying the players became more confident and worked hard together to earn all three points with a late winning goal.
With England up next in Group L, Ayew said the team is focused on taking the tournament one match at a time but believes anything can happen at the World Cup.
Speaking to ghanafa.org after Ayew said: “We have two important games left. We take it game by game. We are focused on securing the three points in the next match and after that we think about the last match. It’s always difficult playing at the World Cup.
“There are no easy games, but we believe in ourselves and we feel that anything is possible. The next game is equally important, and we are ready for it,” he added.
