Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew says Ghana’s defeat to Croatia was a “one-off” and believes the team is fully focused on Saturday’s Round of 32 match against Colombia.
Ghana ended the group stage with a loss to Croatia, but Ayew said the result does not show the team’s true ability going into the knockout stage.
“The Croatia game was a one-off game, so let’s take it like that,” Ayew said.
“But the Colombia game is a knockout game, so it’s going to be totally different.”
The Ghana captain knows how important the match is. A win over Colombia will send the Black Stars into the Round of 16 and give fans across the country something to celebrate.
