Morocco’s Atlas Lions made history on Saturday after beating Canada 3-0 in the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup.
The North African side became the first African country to score three goals in a World Cup knockout match. They combined strong defending with quick attacks to earn a famous victory.
Morocco also became the first African country to reach the World Cup quarter-finals more than once, after their historic semi-final run in Qatar.
They also joined Nigeria and Ghana as only the third African nation to reach the World Cup knockout stage in back-to-back tournaments.
The Atlas Lions will now travel to Boston for their quarter-final match, where they will face the winner of the Round of 16 game between France and Paraguay.
