Ghana winger Ernest Nuamah says the Black Stars will emerge stronger from their 2026 FIFA World Cup experience despite the team’s disappointing exit in the Round of 32.
Nuamah started Ghana’s opening group match against Panama before making substitute appearances against Croatia and Colombia.
He also provided the assist for Derrick Luckassen’s consolation goal in the 2-1 defeat to Croatia in Philadelphia.
Reflecting on the tournament, he expressed pride at representing Ghana on football’s biggest stage and thanked supporters for their unwavering backing.
“Walking away from the biggest stage in the world with my head held high,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Proud to represent Ghana at the world’s biggest stage. We fought with everything we had, left our hearts on the field and gave our all to make our nation proud. Although we fell short as warriors, this journey has taught us invaluable lessons that will stay with us forever.”
“Every challenge, every victory, and every setback has shaped us into stronger athletes. A heartfelt thank you to Ghana and to everyone who supported, believed in, and stood by us throughout this journey. Your love and encouragement meant everything.”
