Pastor Kofi Bosomtwe has urged parents and married couples to place greater value on their families than the pursuit of wealth, warning that the relentless search for money is causing many people to neglect their homes.
Speaking on AsetsePa with Akoto Mansa, he observed that many parents devote most of their time to work and business while paying little attention to their spouses and children, a situation he believes is weakening family bonds.
“Money is not everything, even though it is good. We should focus on family. Nurturing good children is far more rewarding than riches,” he said.
According to Pastor Bosomtwe, financial success should never come at the expense of a healthy family life. He argued that raising responsible children and building strong relationships at home leave a more lasting legacy than accumulating wealth.
He further explained that many of the challenges confronting marriages today stem from couples spending too much time outside the home and too little time communicating with each other.
“Sex is initiated through communication, but some spouses rarely do that because they spend most of their time outside their home,” he noted.
Pastor Bosomtwe therefore encouraged parents and married couples to intentionally create time for their families despite the pressures of work and business. He said investing time in one’s spouse and children strengthens relationships and helps build stable homes capable of producing responsible future generations.
He maintained that while financial stability is important, no amount of wealth can replace the value of a united and well-nurtured family.
