Kumasi-based businesswoman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RoseGold Luxury Boutique, Nana Ama Prempeh-Sikani Kaakyire has argued that changes in many women’s attitudes after marriage are often a reaction to how their husbands treat them rather than a flaw in the women themselves.
Speaking on Angel FM, Kumasi, she said many men become less caring, respectful, and intentional after marriage, leading to changes in the relationship.
“Most women who change after marriage are a result of the man’s behaviour. The man would have stopped being caring, respectful, and intentional about the woman,” she said.
According to her, both husbands and wives must abandon certain unhealthy behaviours after marriage if they want their unions to succeed.
She advised men to avoid discussing their wives’ private issues with outsiders, stressing that doing so reflects poorly on them.
“With the men, you do not need to discuss your wife with just any person. Anything you say about her represents you as the man,” she stated.
Rosegold also urged husbands to understand that leadership in marriage comes with responsibility, noting that many women expect their spouses to provide for the family.
“Men want women to always submit, but when a man does not provide for a woman, she will not submit,” she said.
She maintained that lasting marriages are built on mutual respect, intentionality, and shared responsibility rather than demands placed on only one partner.
