President John Dramani Mahama has praised the Buzstop Boys for using their environmental advocacy to draw public attention to sanitation challenges in communities across the country.
Speaking at the Ringway Gospel Centre Assemblies of God, the President said the group’s work serves as a reminder that environmental cleanliness requires collective action from both citizens and public authorities.
Mahama urged Ghanaians to adopt responsible waste disposal habits, warning against throwing sachet water wrappers, Styrofoam containers, food packaging and other refuse into drains.
He said indiscriminate disposal of waste contributes to flooding and undermines efforts to keep communities clean.
Quoting James 2:17, Mahama said, “Faith without works is dead,” adding that keeping the environment clean should not remain a matter of words alone but must be reflected in people’s daily conduct and actions.
He commended the Buzstop Boys for consistently bringing sanitation issues to the public’s attention, saying their efforts help encourage greater awareness of environmental responsibility.
