The Black Meteors will begin training in Accra on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, as they prepare for the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which will be played in September and October.
The players listed have been asked to report to Erata Hotel in East Legon at 4:00 p.m. This camp is only for players based in Ghana. Plans for players who play outside Ghana will be announced later.
The U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers will start in September. Ghana will not play in that window because the team has received a bye. The Black Meteors will begin their qualifying matches in October. CAF has not yet announced the fixtures.
The players in this camp come from Ghana Premier League and Division One League clubs. They are expected to form the main group of the team as coach Desmond Ofei starts Ghana’s journey to compete for the African title and a place at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
