Ghanaian businessman Daniel McKorley, popularly known as McDan, has urged people to recognise the realities of life and take steps to secure their future instead of depending on the system to provide opportunities.
The Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the McDan Group of Companies said economic challenges often affect people regardless of their talent or qualifications.
“I’m not going to apologise for any of this, and I stand by every word of it: Fight for your life like nobody is coming to save you,” he wrote.
McDan said many people face challenges that do not consider their personal circumstances.
“In our part of the world, poverty doesn’t knock before entering a home. Inflation doesn’t care how talented you are.
“Nepotism won’t apologise because you were more qualified. The system won’t be kind to you because you’re from a poor background,” he stated.
He encouraged people to accept the need to compete and create opportunities for themselves.
“So, stop waiting for fairness,” McDan added.
