We will make Togbe Afede XIV happy this season – Opare Addo

Communications Director Kwame Opare Addo said the Phobians want to make majority shareholder Togbe Afede XIV happy by winning games after several disappointing seasons.

The Accra-based club last won the Ghana Premier League under Samuel Boadu in the 2020/21 season.Speaking to Asempa FM, Opare Addo said the club’s main goal is to bring success back to Hearts of Oak.

“Togbe Afede XIV already has money, and what we can do is make him happy by winning games,” he said.

“I know he always wants to see the fans unite and come together to support the team.”

“So what we can do is win games, which will make him happy and compete for every trophy that is there to be won as a club.”

“Opare Addo also revealed that Hearts of Oak are planning to strengthen their squad before the transfer window closes, with about five new players expected to join the club.”

“I know that there are players we are looking at, and so we will sign about five players going into the season,” he added.

Hearts of Oak will start their 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign at home against Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium.
