NPP’s Credibility in Ruins Over Propaganda — Umar Harris

Comrade Umar Harris has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of losing credibility with Ghanaians as a result of what he describes as persistent propaganda, lies, and politically motivated messaging.

He acknowledged the NPP’s position as one of Ghana’s major opposition parties but argued that its approach to opposition politics has weakened public trust in the party.

“Currently, the NPP is said to be the biggest opposition party, but the United Party is the most formidable opposition party because they give constructive criticisms of the current government,” he said on Kumasi-based Angel FM.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) communicator contrasted this with what he described as the NPP’s reliance on propaganda and false narratives, which he believes has made it increasingly difficult for the party to convince the public.

“But with the NPP, they are filled with propaganda, lies and agenda and that has made Ghanaians not to believe them again,” he stated.

According to him, the credibility problem has become so severe that even when the NPP raises a legitimate concern or presents factual information, sections of the public may still be unwilling to accept it.

“Even if they come out with the truth, still Ghanaians will not believe them,” he said.
