GFA equips GPL referees with new boots and officiating kits

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has provided new officiating equipment to referees as part of its continued support for their welfare and professional development during the 2026/27 football season.

Referees working in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) have received new officiating and training materials to help them carry out their duties effectively throughout the season.

Each referee has received two pairs of boots, three sets of officiating uniforms in different colours, and three warm-up uniforms.

The distribution is part of the GFA’s continued investment in improving the working conditions of match officials and making sure referees have the equipment they need for the new season.

The support fulfils the GFA’s ongoing commitment to referees and assistant referees under the leadership of GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku.

The Football Association says it will continue to work towards improving the welfare, professionalism and preparedness of match officials across its competitions.
