A Nigerian man has encouraged young people with money to consider obtaining a Caribbean passport, claiming it has made international travel applications easier for him.
In a video shared on social media, the man displayed his Caribbean passport and recounted how he checked the United Kingdom’s travel requirements after a woman suggested they visit the country.
He said he initially told her he did not have a UK visa but decided to check whether his passport qualified him for an online travel authorisation.
According to him, he completed an online application and received approval in less than a minute.
He contrasted the experience with his previous Canadian visa application using his Nigerian passport, which he said took about six to seven months to receive a decision.
He later reapplied using his Caribbean passport and claimed he received a six-year Canadian visa after approximately four weeks.
The man urged young people to consider investing in a Caribbean passport rather than spending money on what he described as unnecessary activities.
“Instead of using your money to go to the club and spend your money on all these unnecessary things, use the money to go and get this passport. It will save you a lot of stress,” he said.
He added that people who had followed his advice were happy with the decision.
