Adwoa Safo Steps Into Church Leadership Feud: Let God Decide

Former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo has accused her brother, Israel Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena, of taking internal family matters to the media and damaging the legacy of their late father, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.

Speaking on the ongoing leadership and funeral dispute within the Kristo Asafo Mission, Adwoa Safo said she disagreed with the decision to publicly discuss issues involving the family and the church.

“It is embarrassing and a shame that one person in the family wants to wash our dirty linen in public and engage the media all the time,” she said.

She further argued that leadership of the church should not be pursued through personal effort or public campaigns, describing pastoral leadership as a divine calling.

“If God wants you to lead the church, it will happen. But don’t force your way into it or use any means to secure the position,” she stated.

According to the former legislator, attempts to push for leadership through pressure or other means risk affecting both the image of the Kristo Asafo Mission and the reputation of those involved.
