Spiritual leader Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, known as Ajagurajah, has stirred debate with controversial claims on sex, marriage, wealth and royalty in an interview on Angel FM in Kumasi.
The Ajagurajah Movement leader cautioned listeners against intimacy at what he called the 11th hour, describing it as a demonic period that bridges the physical and spiritual worlds. “Don’t ever have sex at the 11th hour; it’s a demonic hour,” he said, adding that he names an angel and a demon he believes govern the time.
He also argued that God ignores sins committed without proof, comparing divine judgment to a court that demands evidence, and cited passages from Exodus and Genesis. He claimed certain birthdays are incompatible for marriage, said women with what he termed royal spirits cannot wed men he described as having slave spirits, and remarked that fools die young.
Turning to relationships and wealth, Ajagurajah claimed men with beautiful partners face greater danger and may die early, and urged people to guard themselves rather than rely solely on divine rescue, suggesting that some wrongdoers prosper regardless.
He praised businessman Dr Kwaku Oteng, announcing plans to bring his movement to Kumasi with the entrepreneur’s backing, and commended his family life while encouraging him to marry more women. He further claimed royals are trained away from home, alleging that Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II once told him he was schooled at Sefwi, outside the palace.
Oteng, founder of the Angel Group of Companies, has previously dismissed talk of multiple marriages and maintained that he has only two wives. The claims about the Asantehene and the sponsorship could not be independently verified.
