The children of the late Ghanaian highlife musician Daddy Lumba, known in private life as Charles Kwadwo Fosu, have appealed to the public and media to respect the family’s privacy as they mourn their father.
In a brief public statement issued on behalf of the family, one of his children, Calvin Fosu, said matters concerning the burial arrangements remain a private family issue.
“While we understand the love and admiration that many people have for our late father, matters relating to his burial arrangements are private family matters,” the statement said.
The family acknowledged the widespread affection many people have shown for the late musician but stressed the need for space during this period.
“We respectfully ask the public, media, and all well-wishers to allow our family the privacy and space required to grieve and honour our father in accordance with his wishes,” the statement added.
