Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the Forestry Commission, Elikem Kotoko, believes that the New Patriotic Party made a big statement about the failed leadership the party has had.
The New Patriotic Party hit the streets of Accra with the “Democracy Under Attack” demonstration.
The well-attended demonstration drummed home the need for government to desist from arresting opposition voices.
They also used the opportunity to address issues bothering the incarceration of Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Wontumi.
But speaking on Accra-based Metro TV, Elikem Kotoko, who is the Deputy National Organizer for the NDC indicated that the statement made by the NPP with the demonstration is just failed leadership.
He said organizers of the demonstration just did that because they are seeking re-election and want to deceive their members for their votes.
“I indeed must agree that it was a very big statement about the failed leadership that the NPP has had over the past few years where their leadership have failed to lead them onto the right path, demonstrating that they are not capable of being the ones to be in charge of their affairs, but because there is another election pending, everyone is seeking re-election and having deceived their delegates that they were starting from the top down and after deceiving them to elect Dr Mahamudu Bawumia they’ve made a u-turn that they are again starting from the buttom. These are people that are finding straws to latch on to find relevance,” he said.
