Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Wontumi, has urged delegates of the New Patriotic Party to vote massively for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
He holds the view that the former vice president holds the key to the party winning power in the 2028 elections.
Wontumi noted that the presidential primaries is not about friendship, tribe, religion, among others; rather, about how to win power in the 2028 elections and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia wields that power.
“If it is power we are looking for, then it should not be about who your friend is or who belongs to your tribe. It is about who can win power for the NPP, and there is no other than Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,” he stated.
“The five persons competing for the position as flagbearer are all fine gentlemen and members of the New Patriotic Party. However, with one voice as the Ashanti Region, let’s vote for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia because he is our future.
