Blackburn Rovers are reportedly close to signing Ghana captain Jordan Ayew on a free transfer as manager Tony Mowbray looks to strengthen his squad.
The 34-year-old is available after leaving Leicester City at the end of last season following their relegation from the Championship.
Ayew is now in talks with Blackburn, who want to add his experience and ability to play in different attacking positions to their squad.
The Ghana international made 42 Championship appearances for Leicester last season, scoring six goals and providing three assists. He started 24 of those games.
Blackburn have faced problems with squad depth at the start of the new campaign, with several players currently out injured.
