Media personality Blakofe has called on President John Dramani Mahama to include noise pollution in future national clean-up efforts following the two-day nationwide exercise.
In a social media post, Blakofe said sanitation should go beyond waste management and also address noise levels in communities.
“Good morning Mr. President. Noise pollution is also a massive problem. Please, add that to your clean-up exercise,” she wrote.
Her comments come after the government declared Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11, 2026, as National General Cleaning Days, with activities focused on clearing drains, removing plastic waste and cleaning public spaces, especially areas affected by recent floods.
Blakofe also called for more infrastructure and education to support sanitation efforts.
“Meanwhile, we need bins in our markets, schools, public places. We need recycling factories. We need more than Zoomlion,” she said.
She added that public education was needed to help citizens understand the importance of maintaining clean and noise-free environments.
Blakofe further offered her experience in copywriting and public awareness campaigns to support sanitation education efforts if needed.
