The Head of New Media for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign, Krobea Kwabena Asante, has questioned what he calls a lack of institutional memory in Ghana’s drug fight, following NACOC’s latest arrests.
In a post shared on social media, Krobea Asante commended the Narcotics Control Commission for announcing the arrest of 3 suspects linked to the “Bolle Jos” drug network. But he argued that public accountability requires updates on earlier, bigger cases.
According to him, Ghanaians are still waiting for answers on three major cases:What happened after 4,500kg of cocaine was intercepted in the Netherlands in June 2025?
What became of the suspected lead shipper arrested after Australia seized 320kg of methamphetamine in April 2026?
What was the outcome of the questioning of two Energy Commission officials in a related investigation?
“Enforcement must have institutional memory. Each new announcement should not erase the unanswered questions from the last one,” Krobea Asante wrote.
