Croatia qualified for the Round of 32 at the 2026 World Cup after beating Ghana 2-1 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The result ended the Black Stars’ chance of finishing top of Group L.
Petar Sučić gave Croatia the lead in the 31st minute with a good finish. Ghana equalised in the 73rd minute when Derrick Luckassen scored with a header.
But Croatia scored again soon after when Nikola Vlašić found the net from a corner to seal the victory and confirm their place in the next round.
Even with the defeat, Ghana had already qualified for the knockout stage before the match. They secured their place after beating Panama 1-0 and drawing 0-0 with England.
