Veteran Ghanaian DJ and broadcaster Alexander Kwaku Amoah, popularly known as DJ Candyman, has appealed for financial support as he battles kidney-related health complications.
DJ Candyman said he is currently receiving treatment at Walter Aiden Specialist Clinic in Asokwa, Kumasi, and needs help to cover his medical expenses.
“I never imagined I would have to come out publicly to ask for help, but today, I humbly need your support,” he said in a social media post.
The veteran broadcaster appealed to people who have supported his career over the years to contribute towards his treatment, stressing that every amount would help.
“Any financial contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way towards my treatment and recovery,” he stated.
DJ Candyman, born Alex Kwaku Amoah, has more than 25 years of experience in media and over three decades as a professional DJ. He began his broadcasting journey in 1997 on campus radio at Radio Link, Kumasi Polytechnic.
He also asked the public to remember him in their prayers as he undergoes treatment.
“Please help me fight this battle. I believe that with your prayers, support and God’s grace, I will overcome,” he added.
