DJ Slim has intimated that Stonebwoy accused Sarkodie of enabling people who have allegedly built their platforms by attacking other artistes.
According to DJ Slim, Stonebwoy’s argument was that Sarkodie cannot speak strongly against disrespect in the music industry while giving recognition to people he believes engage in the same behaviour.
“If you have grown a conscience overnight, I think you should have started from your friend because there’s no one in this country who is more abusive to his colleagues in the industry than him,” DJ Slim said while explaining Stonebwoy’s position on his podcast, The Street is Watching.
He said Stonebwoy also accused Sarkodie of being an “enabler” because some people around him have allegedly grown their fan bases by attacking other brands, yet Sarkodie has still given them shout-outs.
“Then he said, ‘You are an enabler; there are people around you who have also grown their fan bases by shitting on other brands, and you gave them shout-outs. You know them, so you’re an enabler. Once you accept that, I am ok,’” DJ Slim added.
The point, as explained by DJ Slim, was that Stonebwoy wanted Sarkodie to acknowledge his own role in the behaviour he was criticising.
