Don’t buy Christmas cloth before paying tithe – Pastor Ibiyeomie tells Christians

Nigerian preacher and founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has cautioned Christians against buying Christmas clothes before paying their tithes, warning that failure to tithe could expose them to danger.

Preaching to his congregation, Ibiyeomie described the decision to prioritise Christmas clothing over tithing as dangerous and urged Christians not to neglect their financial obligations to the church during the festive season.

“Year is ending. Don’t buy Christmas cloth when you have not paid tithe. It’s dangerous. It’s very dangerous,” he said.

He insisted that Christians should not treat tithing as an optional practice or pay whatever amount they choose.

“Many of you who are Christians don’t pay correct tithe. You pay as you like. It’s not pay as you go,” he said.

Ibiyeomie urged his congregation to remain committed to tithing in December rather than diverting the money towards Christmas celebrations.

“I’m telling you this December, don’t tamper with your tithe,” he warned.
