Don’t vote if you expect an influencer to influence your choice-Lydia Forson

Actress Lydia Forson has urged the people of Ghana to look within themselves and vote for the candidate that will help address the challenges of the country.

She holds the view that any individual who expects influencers to tell them who they should vote for certainly don’t have to vote because they are undecided and uninformed.

The actress who has been an advocate for social change all these years made this known in a tweet.

“Listen, no one needs to tell you who to vote for this election or any other for that matter. Sit down, look within yourself and at your life and just vote accordingly. It’s really that simple. I mean if you need me to do that for you, then you shouldn’t be voting,” she said in a tweet.

Ghana goes to the polls on December 7, 2024, to elect new leaders to steer the affairs of the country.

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is hoping to make history by becoming the first political party to break the eight-year cycle in Ghanaian politics.

However, their closest opponents, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are hoping to come back to power. They are of the view that they hold the key to Ghana’s development and success.
