Dr Nana Ayew Afriye, the NPP MP for Effiduase/Asokore, has sued Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah for saying he has planned to attack the pastor and members of his church.
The allegation was made by Rev Owusu Bempah, founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry, who named Dr Ayew Afriye alongside Anthony Abayifa Karbo, Sammy Awuku and Opare Ansah as people allegedly involved in the supposed plot.
In his writ of summons, Dr Ayew Afriye rejected the allegation as defamatory, arguing that the claim was intended to damage his integrity, reputation, image and standing.
