Asante Kotoko are still looking for a new head coach after finishing the 2025/26 league season without a permanent manager.
Speaking in an interview with Martin Tawiah on GhanaSportsPage.com, Croatian coach Zdravko Logarušić said he has already received calls from Ghana. He described Ghana as his second home and said he would be happy to return if the right offer comes.
“Ghana is my second home, more like my second love having lived there for three years.”
“Am open to negotiating with any club in Ghana. We have some teams growing well like Medeama. Kotoko and Hearts are traditional powerhouse,” he said.
“Either Asante Kotoko or Hearts of Oak, am ready. I know the level of pressure at Kotoko, especially outside of the field, politics, and supporters, but if the offer comes, why not? Let’s see.”
“I already receive calls from Ghana, but let’s wait to see in the next 7 to 10-days, what happens?” Zdravko concluded.
Kotoko started last season with Abdul Karim Zito as head coach but later dismissed him. His assistant, Prince Yaw Owusu, took over but also left the role. Youth team coach Hamza Obeng then stepped in as interim coach.
