Ghana international midfielder Elisha Owusu has completed his transfer from French club AJ Auxerre to Turkish Super Lig side Erzurumspor FK.
The 28-year-old has joined the newly promoted Turkish club on a permanent deal, ending his three-and-a-half-year spell with Auxerre.
Owusu joined Auxerre from Belgian club Gent in January 2023 for a reported €500,000 and quickly became an important player in the midfield.
His leadership qualities also earned him the club captaincy, a role he held until the end of last season.
The Ghanaian leaves Auxerre with one year remaining on his contract. The French club are reportedly set to receive €1 million, excluding bonuses, for the transfer.
The deal gives Auxerre a profit on their initial investment in the midfielder.
