The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will hit the streets nationwide today, September 17, 2024, with a demonstration to drum home the need for a forensic audit of the voters register.
The demonstration, which will take place across the country will end at the various regional offices of the Electoral Commission.
The Director of Elections for the NDC, Dr Omane Boamah, has insisted that they have detected some errors in the current register. Therefore, a forensic audit of the voter roll is the only way to fix the mistakes.
However, the Commission has insisted that it is working on errors it has identified after the exhibition exercise.
Police have assured of protecting the demonstrators but have asked that all protocols be adhered to by members of the opposition NDC.
