Journalist Eva Okyere believes the Black Stars coaching staff deserves credit for keeping players focused despite a difficult build-up to the tournament.
She pointed to several distractions that surrounded the team before the competition, including player availability issues and other off-field discussions.
“A lot has happened. It’s been a whirlwind prior to this tournament,” she said on Breakfast Show on GTV.
Despite those challenges, Okyere believes the coach has concentrated on strengthening the players’ confidence and unity.
“You have a coach who is good at motivating the players. His best shot is to change the mindset of the players,” she explained.
According to her, the ability to put recent distractions behind them and focus on the task ahead will be vital when Ghana takes on Panama.
“I believe that the team will put everything behind them and forge ahead,” she added.
