Hearts of Oak coach Nebojsa Kapor says strong competition for places in his squad is improving training ahead of Saturday’s Ghana Premier League game against Karela United.
The Phobians have made an unbeaten start to the season, winning two and drawing one of their first three matches.
Kapor believes the fight for starting positions has created a healthy environment at training and is helping the players perform at a high level.
“One of the most important things in football is competition in the squad. The competition in the squad is very high. Everyone is competing for a position and, because of this, we really have very quality training sessions,” he said.
The Serbian coach believes the high level of competition is helping both individual players and the team improve.
“What this is giving us is a perfect approach from training sessions, and we also find the best of our players individually, in groups or as a team,” Kapor added.
The Phobians will look to maintain that intensity when they travel to Tamale to face Karela United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
