Policy analyst Dr. Steve Manteaw has noted that galamsey continues unabated, indicating that it is worrying.
He says this is because although there have been arrests, nothing has been seen to be coming out of the arrests made.
To him, that’s the missing link in the fight against galamsey and the earlier that is rectified, the better for Ghana.

Making his point known in a social media post, he said, “The reason galamsey continues unabated is that beyond the arrests, we hear nothing about prosecutions. That’s the missing link”.
