Member of Parliament for Gushegu, Hassan Tampuli, holds the view that Ghanaians don’t even remember that the country has a vice president.
According to him, unlike Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who was very active and made himself useful, the current vice president is missing in action.
He was speaking about the former vice president’s performance in government when he made this known.
“This is the best vice president we have had, with all due respect to the vice presidents we have had in the past. He’s the most phenomenal, the most consequential vice president ever.
He continued, “Those days you couldn’t even have said Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government; you’d say the Nana Addo/Bawumia government, but today they say the Mahama administration. People don’t even remember that we have a vice president sometimes, because Dr Bawumia was very active.”
