Hearts of Oak have appointed Serbian tactician Nebojša Kapor as the club’s new head coach on a two-year contract, ushering in what the Phobians have described as “a new era” ahead of the 2026/27 season.
A UEFA-licensed coach, Kapor is no stranger to Ghanaian football, having previously managed Tema Youth, Bechem United and Medeama SC.
In a statement announcing the move, Hearts of Oak said Kapor’s coaching philosophy aligns with the board’s long-term vision of rebuilding the club.
The club also revealed that Kapor’s appointment is the first of several changes expected within the technical team in the coming weeks as preparations intensify for the 2026/27 season.
“The Board is confident Coach Kapor has the leadership and technical competence to lead Hearts of Oak into a new era of stability and success,” the club said in a statement.
