Joseph Yamin has picked nomination forms to contest another term as the National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), declaring his intention to retain the position in the party’s December 19 elections.
Yamin announced that he had picked up, paid for and submitted his nomination forms, adding that he was waiting to discover who would challenge him for the position.
“We are here to announce to you that we have picked nomination forms to contest the upcoming national elections. I am maintaining my position as the National Organiser of the party to go another term,” he told reporter at the party’s headquarters.
“I picked my nomination yesterday. I have paid my nomination fees and I have submitted my nomination. I am waiting to know my opponent and we’ll be ready to go into battle on the 19th of December.”
Yamin also disclosed that his colleague, Mustapha Gbande, had completed the same nomination process.
“My brother Mustapha Gbande has done same. He picked his nomination yesterday, paid his nomination fees and has submitted his nomination,” he added.
His declaration sets the stage for another contest for the NDC National Organiser position as the party prepares for its upcoming internal elections.
