Media personality Blakofe has shared a lengthy Facebook post explaining why she says he no longer believes in God, arguing that the amount of suffering in the world has made her question the existence of a loving creator.
Using the example of a parent who can afford to buy shoes for a child but deliberately refuses until the child suffers serious injuries, Blakkofe questioned how a good God could watch people endure hardship without intervening.
“Picture this. Your child needs shoes. You can afford it. You know where to buy it. But, you don’t. Your child cries, begs. Your child gets blisters, cuts, loses toes and all sorts. You ignore it till your child is about to lose all their toes. Are you a good parent?” she wrote.
She went on to reference people born with physical disabilities, survivors of sexual abuse, and others who continue to struggle despite their efforts, saying such realities make it difficult for her to accept the idea of a benevolent God.
“How are we to accept that there’s a good God watching as people suffer? So this good God is happy to see His/Her kids cry their entire lives?” she asked.
“Please, I will use my Facebook as I please. No Christian should bring any nonsense here. I’m no longer buying into that God thing. I’m with Team Lucifer now. No God is coming to do jack for me. End of,” she concluded.
