Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North Constituency, Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni has told her constituents that she is not a politician who sweet-talks for votes.
According to her, she will continue to ensure that things are done the hard way to help achieve the needed outcomes.
Her comment comes on the back of her attack on CalBank staff for their failure to join the clean-up exercise on Friday, July 10.
“If you have followed me since 2020 till now, I am not one of the politicians who sweet-talk people because they want to get votes. I am not one of the people who will come and kowtow to what you want because I want votes. You saw me like this, and you voted for me. You voted for me because you know I can do the job; help me to work and help me to deliver my mandate. You did not vote for me to come to your homes and beg you.
If there is a job to be done, come on board and let’s do the job. You can’t threaten me that you won’t vote for me. God makes kings, and those who appreciate the work I am doing will reward me. I don’t do things because of the next elections. Some people wanted to take part in the 2028 elections, but where are they now? Or is it because my opponents are putting their records down so that they use it against me? They are lying. When there is a job to be done, let’s get on board and do it,” she told the media.
