Ibiyeomie claims drivers who failed to pay tithes suffered tyre bursts

Nigerian preacher and founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has recounted incidents in which vehicles carrying him suffered tyre bursts, claiming the incidents involved drivers who did not pay tithes.

Preaching to his congregation, Ibiyeomie said he had observed three such cases involving drivers who were Christians but had not been paying their tithes.

“Within a time, I have noticed, for instance, if a non-tither drives me, two tyres will burst,” he said.

He recounted one incident in which two tyres burst while he was travelling with a driver. According to him, he questioned the driver about his tithing record and received no response.

“I stopped and I said to the driver of the bus, I said, ‘You don’t pay tithe.’ He kept quiet. I said, ‘That’s why these two tyres bursted,’” Ibiyeomie said.

He also described another incident involving a newly employed driver who was transporting him and his wife from the airport in his Rolls-Royce when two tyres burst.

“I said, ‘Go and check his record.’ Truth was, not a tither,” he said.

Ibiyeomie maintained that the incidents were not necessarily the work of the devil, arguing that Christians should examine their commitment to tithing.

“All of them have been born again for years. All this attack is not a devil. Not everything is given to the devil,” he said.

He further warned that neglecting tithes could have serious consequences for Christians and their families.

“Otherwise, they may rush your children,” he warned.

The preacher’s claims about tyre bursts and the consequences of failing to tithe were presented as his personal observations and religious interpretation.
