Former Black Stars defender John Paintsil has moved to the National U20 team, the Black Satellites, as Assistant Coach.
Paintsil leaves the senior national team, where he was part of the Black Stars technical staff, to continue his coaching development with the youth team.
The former Fulham, Leicester City and West Ham United full-back will assist the Black Satellites technical team as they prepare for next year’s U20 Africa Cup of Nations.
The move is part of the GFA’s ongoing technical changes aimed at improving focus and efficiency across the various national teams.
The GFA believes Paintsil’s experience and leadership will be valuable to the development of the Black Satellites.
