Juventus to sign teen Ghanaian midfielder – Report

Juventus are reportedly keeping tabs on Samuel Wiafe, the 18-year-old midfielder who is eligible to represent both Italy and Ghana and currently plays for Genoa in Serie A.

Wiafe completed a €3 million move from Modena to Genoa in July and has already gained experience in senior football this season. He has featured in three Serie A matches and two Coppa Italia games, registering an assist in the domestic cup competition.

The midfielder’s rise has been swift, having progressed through Modena’s youth ranks before earning promotion to the club’s first team in February 2026. His performances and development paved the way for his switch to Genoa during the summer transfer window.

Wiafe has been included in 25% of Genoa’s starting line-ups in Serie A this season and has played 28% of the team’s available minutes in the league. In the Coppa Italia, he has started 50% of the club’s matches, making two appearances and providing one assist.

Although Juventus have reportedly shown interest in the teenager, there is no indication that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs. Wiafe is currently valued at €2.5 million and remains under contract with Genoa until June 30, 2030.
