According to a new update by the police, Counsellor Lutterodt is expected to appear before a court on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, after being charged in connection with comments he allegedly made in a viral video about the late highlife musician Daddy Lumba.
According to the Ghana Police Service, he will face charges of offensive conduct conducive to breach of the peace under Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29), as well as inciting violence under the Criminal Offences Act and the Public Order Act, 1994 (Act 491).
Police said investigations suggest the remarks made in the video were offensive and capable of causing a breach of the peace, particularly as they allegedly encouraged some youth to storm the residence of the late musician.
The suspect has been granted bail following his arrest by the Criminal Investigations Department.
In a statement signed by Chief Inspector Brigitte Babanawo, Public Relations Officer of the CID, the police indicated that the case will now proceed to court where the allegations against Counsellor Lutterodt will be addressed.
