My health has not disabled my mind – Franklin Cudjoe jabs NPP

Franklin Cudjoe, founding president of policy think tank IMANI Africa, has pushed back strongly against comments linking his health condition to his political views.

In a blunt public statement, Cudjoe said his health challenges have not affected his ability to think clearly or speak honestly about national issues.

“My health condition hasn’t disabled me from thinking right,” he said. “It has not prevented me from detecting and exposing radicalised, politicized militant ignorance and stupidity from common sense and clear thinking.”

He dismissed suggestions that illness had weakened his memory, stressing that he clearly remembers the economic record of the previous administration.

“I have no memory loss of the excruciatingly plunderous, wasteful and kleptocratic feasting the last government visited upon us,” Cudjoe stated.

According to him, Ghana’s economic decline under the former government was the result of poor leadership and weak economic thinking.

“That government was fantastically corrupt, and it was mostly made up of incompetent talkertives whose porous thinking left us in a junk-rated prison,” he said.

Cudjoe added that criticism of his health would not silence him, noting that he remains alert, engaged, and willing to respond to his critics.

“So those posting insulting comments of my health condition, I will be here reading and answering,” he said.
