Singer and entrepreneur Mzbel has said her search for answers about life and spirituality took her beyond Christianity to different religious and belief systems.
Mzbel said after leaving a church because of questions she had about the pastor’s actions, she did not stop searching for answers.
She said she tried another church before exploring Hare Krishna, theism, Judaism and other belief systems.
“I tried another church and then I went to Hare Krishna. I tried theism, Judaism, everything,” she told Kafui Dey in an interview.
According to Mzbel, her motivation was not simply to move from one religion to another but to understand what she was looking for.
She said she had questions and wanted answers, so she kept exploring different paths.
Mzbel eventually said her search led her to a different conclusion.
“In the end I realized that the answers are not out there, it is inside me. You just have to clear your mind,” she said.
