Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has passed on.
According to reports she passed on after a short illness at the Ridge hospital in Accra.
However, it is not clear what the cause of her death as of the time of reporting the sad incident.
She was 76.
Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings was one of the leading figures in empowering Ghanaian women.
Her role in Ghana’s democracy and national development is one that was instrumental in the country’s history.
Tributes have since been pouring in for the former First Lady who played key roles in the political space in Ghana.
