The Germany Branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated the party’s newly elected national executives and called for unity and reconciliation ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The branch said the new executives had received “a strong mandate” from delegates and party members in Ghana and abroad in a statement shared on social media.
It also commended candidates who lost the elections, describing their participation as “a demonstration of patriotism, dedication and commitment to the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition.”
The branch urged the unsuccessful candidates to remain active in the party, saying “their ideas, energy and experience remain valuable to the NPP.”
It called on the national leadership, grassroots activists, external branches and aggrieved members to “put aside internal differences and rally behind the newly elected executive team.”
The Germany Branch also proposed regular consultations with diaspora branches and greater involvement of their expertise in policy committees, manifesto preparation and governance planning.
It said it was ready to “mobilise resources, promote the party’s vision across the diaspora and strengthen collaboration” with the new national leadership.
The branch said reconciliation, unity and collective effort would be important as the NPP prepares for the 2028 elections.
