A Kumasi-based prophet, Prophet Ransford Oduro, has sparked public debate after making a controversial claim about the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) prospects of winning a future presidential election.
Speaking during an interview on Angel FM in Kumasi, Prophet Oduro alleged that the NPP would not be able to win a general election unless what he described as a “sacrifice” involving a senior party official is made.
According to him, the individual he referred to holds the position of chairman within the party. However, the prophet declined to provide further clarification or explanation regarding his statement.
“I will not go into details,” he said during the interview. “He is the person because he has been chosen as the sacrificial lamb.”
The cleric did not identify the individual by name, nor did he provide any evidence or elaboration to support his claim.
